Page 5 of 5 Portable Players  At $699, Epson’s P-5000 80 GB multimedia storage drive is meant to be the sidekick to your pro D-SLR leading man. The P-5000 has a large four-inch LCD for zooming in on image previews, even of RAW files. The internal card reader downloads from CompactFlash and Secure Digital cards, and the P-5000 can display directly to TVs or projectors with an A/V cable.  With playback support for most popular image files, the Wolverine ESP 120 GB portable multimedia storage player ($449) will display pretty much anything, either on its 3.6-inch screen or on any A/V connectable TV, projector or stereo. The 7-in-1 card reader loads directly to the sizable hard drive, and there’s a built-in FM radio.  The NTSC and PAL compatibility of SmartDisk’s FlashTrax XT means that you can preview your images directly to TVs, even in Europe. With an available 40 GB ($199) or 80 GB ($299) capacity, you can store thousands of photos, preview them on the 3.6-inch LCD screen, or output a wide selection of photo and video formats. The screen flips up and down for more secure protection during baggage handling.  JOBO’s GIGA Vu Pro evolution has on-board RAW file decoding, LCD loupe magnification, direct printing and slideshow capabilities. The four-inch screen also plays a variety of MPEG or DviX files, and there’s MP3 support. The GIGA Vu Pro evolution is available in 40 GB, 80 GB or 120 GB models at $495, $695 and $895.
