Resolution
I want:
•    6 to 8 megapixels (big prints)
•    3 to 5 megapixels (standard prints)

Lens
I want:
•    3x zoom (e.g., 35mm to 105mm equivalent)
•    A longer telephoto zoom (5x to 10x)
•    A zoom with enhanced wide-angle perspective (e.g., 28mm or wider)
•    Optional accessory lenses
•    A digital SLR with interchangeable lenses

Size
I want:
    An ultra-compact camera
•    A compromise between size and performance
•    Size isn’t a concern

LCD
I want:
    A large LCD (two inches or greater)
•    A swiveling LCD
    LCD size isn’t critical

Shooting Modes
I want:
•    Full manual capability
•    A mix of manual and automatic exposure modes
•    A veritable smorgasbord of specialized Scene modes

Shutter Lag
I want:
•    Minimal lag time for action
    Lag time isn’t a primary concern

Memory Cards
I want:
•    A camera that uses memory cards I already own
•    A camera with dual card slots
